About the Scholarship

Applications are now open for the Taiwan Government Research Fellowship. This is a fully funded scholarship and it is available to foreign experts and scholars interested in research related to Taiwan, cross – strait relations, the Asia-Pacific region, and sinology.

Benefits of the Scholarship

Selected candidates will receive the following benefits:

  • Monthly grants are paid at the beginning of each month. Professors, associate professors, researchers or associate researchers: NT $60,000 . Assistant professors, research assistants or doctoral students: NT$50,000.
  • One round-trip economy class ticket for the most direct route to Taiwan (subsidy will be decided by MOFA in accordance with applicable regulations).
  • The scholarship will be awarded for a period of 3 to 12 months.
  • Accident insurance (plus medical insurance for accidental injuries).

Scholarship Eligibility

Eligible Countries: All nationalities are eligible for this Aarhus University Scholarship.

Eligible Course or Subjects: PhD degree in Health.

Eligibility Criteria: To be eligible, the applicants must meet all the given criteria:

Must be enrolled as a Master’s degree student at a non-Danish university (equivalent to a Danish Master’s degree of 120 ECTS credits or a similar relevant five-year degree programme or with a qualifying degree from a non-Danish university (Master’s level (120 ECTS credits) or equivalent).

Students must be International students.

  • How to Apply:To apply for the MOFA Taiwan scholarship, applicants must be foreign professors, associate professors, assistant professors, post-doctoral researchers, doctoral candidates or doctoral students in related departments of universities abroad, or are researchers at an equivalent level in academic institutions abroad

  • CV (including a list of publications);
  • Research proposal; and
  • Two letters of recommendation, or a letter of recommendation and a letter of consent from the chief administrator of their institute.
